Since its foundation, LENA has been advocating for more energy efficiency, energy saving, sustainable energy supply as well as climate and resource protection in Saxony-Anhalt. In this context, it forms the state’s operational platform for communication, know-how transfer, campaigns and central lead activities. As a subsidiary of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, the agency works for municipalities, companies and consumers in a product- and supplier-neutral manner.

The non-profit company supports measures to increase energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies together with expert energy consultants as well as applicants in proposal preparation for the award of public grants. LENA also documents best-practice examples and presents them in a striking way. In the areas of energy-efficient wastewater treatment plants and sustainable mobility, LENA is a competent contact and initiator for the state administration and companies in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
